:: The very first reference known to us of this charming hotel is from 1307. Unfortunately earlier information was lost in a fire. Originally the house was called “White Lion”, and was known as a retreat for travellers just outside a city gate now known as The Powder Gate. When the gates were closed at dusk, “White Lion” was a popular place to stay. In the 17th century the son of the Empress Maria Teresa, who later became Emperor Josef II, spent a night at “White Lion” and in his honour this charming house’s name was changed to “City of Vienna”.

:: Hotel Meteor Plaza is situated directly in the center of Prague near The Palace Hibernia, Powder Gate and The Municipal House. You can reach Wenceslav Square, The Old Town Square or other places of interest on foot within several minutes. You can easily get to the hotel by your own car and you have the possibility to park in the hotel garage also.

:: Hotel offers : 165 beds, 18 single beds, 35 double beds and 29 rooms with two seprated beds, 5 suites. There is a possibility of an extra bed in double rooms only. Baby beds are at disposal

:: Standart Rooms

All 82 spacious standard rooms are very well furnished with all amenities including shower and/or bath, WC, hair dryer, satellite/pay TV, modem connections, IDD telephone, personal safe and mini-bar. Room service is available during limited hours. On request you can book room with air-condition. Are you a keen musician? Especially for you we have the room with a piano.

There are 6 suites in Hotel Meteor Plaza, which express an ambience of largesse, comfort and functionality. Except standard room equipment you will find cosy sitting area with reading lamp. Some of the rooms have a hydro maser bath or combination of the bath and a shower bath. Some of our apartments have a special wide screen television.

The ground floor of the hotel has a trendy bar, cosy restaurant and terrace where guests may enjoy a drink in the summer months.

Our shiny restaurant with terrace is situated on the first floor of the hotel and is open every day for breakfast. Rich buffet breakfast is served from 7AM till 10AM.

Dinners are served in a romantic wine cellar, which answered its purpose already back in 14th century.
