The building of Hotel Ametyst is over 80 years old. In 1994, Hotel Ametyst, which is in the ownership of a family from Munich, has been fully reconstructed and rebuilt to meet international standards of a four-star hotel. After this thorough reconstruction, the hotel was reopened in December 1994.

Since then, this popular and customer-friendly hotel has addressed, under the slogan "Stay with us, and feel like home" and under the leadership of an Austrian manager, numerous tourists and businessmen from inland and abroad, many of whom have become loyal and stable hotel guests. Constant innovations and readjustments to the rising standards of a four-star hotel have contributed to the status of the hotel, which is considered to be one of the most popular hotels in Prague. Last hotel renovation was in 2005.
